What can a signature reveal?
A signature is your public self-image. Its size, slant, baseline, pressure, legibility, underlines, strikes and the balance between first and last name point to confidence, ambition, privacy and how you want to be perceived.
What should I upload?
Three to five natural signatures on unlined white paper, signed at your usual speed with your usual pen, photographed straight-on in good light. Deliberately careful specimens distort the reading.
Does a signature differ from general handwriting?
Yes, and the gap itself is informative. Handwriting shows your private working self; the signature shows the persona you present. A large gap often means a carefully managed public image.
Are underlines and dots really meaningful?
In graphology they are read as emphasis: an underline suggests self-reliance and a wish for recognition, while a full stop after the name is read as caution or a need for closure.
Should I change my signature after reading this?
Only thoughtfully. Graphotherapy does use deliberate stroke changes to reinforce habits, but any change should be one you can repeat naturally on legal documents.
Is this scientifically proven?
Graphology is a traditional interpretive discipline, not a clinical test. Use it for self-reflection and coaching conversations, never as the sole basis for hiring or major decisions.
