Running a Client Practice with Astrometry Software: Saved Reports, Branded PDFs and Licences
21 October 2026
If you read charts for clients, the software you use is not only a calculator. It also decides how quickly you can find last month's report, whether the PDF you send carries your name or someone else's, and whether you can keep working when the internet drops in the middle of a consultation. This guide walks through a practical client workflow using Astrometry's software, from first enquiry to follow-up session.
1. Collect clean client details before you open any software
Most report problems start with the input, not the engine. Before a session, ask for:
- Full name as the client uses it (and the birth-certificate spelling for numerology work).
- Date of birth, exact time and the source of that time (hospital record, family memory, horoscope book).
- Place of birth as a town or city, not just a state or country.
- The specific question or life area they want to discuss.
- For image-based tools, clear photos taken in good light, following our palm photo guide or face photo guide.
Our checklist on preparing birth details for astrology reports has a fuller list you can share with clients in advance. If the time is doubtful, run the Birth Time Rectification software before any timing-heavy report.
2. Match the software to the question
Clients rarely ask for "a chart". They ask about a marriage, a job change or a property. Choosing the right tool first saves time:
| Client question | Good starting point |
|---|---|
| Career direction or job change | Career Report, then Dasha for timing |
| Marriage, compatibility or a proposed match | Marriage & Relationship Report |
| A single urgent question with no reliable birth time | Vedic Prashna or Nadi/KP Astrology/Horary |
| Home or office layout | DIY Vastu, Astro Vastu or Feng Shui |
| Name, birth number and lucky timing | Numerology |
| Personality from handwriting or a signature | Handwriting Analysis or Signature Analysis |

3. Use Saved Reports as your client file
Report-producing software on Astrometry includes a Saved Reports tab. When a report is generated successfully, its inputs and results are saved so you can reopen the same report later in the same software, instead of re-entering everything. A few points are worth knowing before you rely on it:
- Saved on your device. New report histories are stored in the browser on the device you used. They do not sync automatically to another computer or phone, so use the same browser for regular clients.
- No photos are kept. For face, palm, handwriting, signature and fingerprint tools, only the structured results are saved, never the images. If a fresh measurement is needed, ask the client for new photos.
- Search and tidy up. You can search the list, reopen a report, delete single entries or clear the history when a client asks you to remove their data.
- Access is still checked. Reopening a saved report does not unlock paid content on its own. Your purchase, plan or Desktop licence is checked again each time.
Clearing your browser data removes these saved reports, so download PDFs of anything you must keep long term.
4. Deliver reports under your own brand
Many consultants want clients to receive a report that carries their practice name, not the software provider's. Accounts on the Online Premier or Professional plans, and owners of the Desktop Professional All-in-One package, can white-label their reports.
Add your logo, business name, address, phone and email on the Branding page after signing in. Eligible downloadable PDFs and editable online reports then show your details in headers, footers and contact blocks in place of the platform's branding. The calculations and report content stay exactly the same; only the identity changes. If you leave a field blank, it is left empty rather than falling back to Astrometry's details. Compare plans on the Pricing page.
5. Choose Online, Desktop or both
Astrometry offers two ways to work, and practices often use both:
- Online software runs in the browser with pay-per-report pricing or annual plans. It suits practitioners who work from several devices or who are just starting out.
- Desktop Editions are installed from the browser as an offline app with a lifetime licence for each product. Once activated, the licensed product's full reports and PDFs work offline, without per-report charges for that product. This suits consultants who see many clients, work in places with patchy internet, or want predictable costs.
A Desktop licence is tied to the specific product you bought and to the installation you activated. If you lose or replace a computer, you can release the old installation from your account after signing in again, then activate on the new one. Our guide on Online vs Desktop software compares the two in more detail.
6. Run the session and follow up
A simple structure keeps sessions focused and makes follow-ups easier:
- Before the call: generate the report, check the inputs on screen, and note two or three key points.
- During the call: share the screen or the PDF, explain the method in plain words and keep a note of the client's main concerns.
- After the call: send the branded PDF and a short written summary of what was discussed.
- Follow-up: reopen the saved report from the Saved Reports tab, check the current transits and Dasha, and update the client. Our transit analysis workflow shows how to layer that review.
7. Professional and ethical boundaries
- Do not present astrology, numerology, Vastu or graphology results as medical, legal or financial advice. Refer clients to qualified professionals for those matters.
- For children's handwriting or DMIT work, get a parent's or guardian's consent and avoid labels or diagnoses.
- Store client PDFs securely and delete saved reports when a client asks you to.
- Explain uncertainty honestly, especially when a birth time is approximate. Our accuracy checklist is a useful reference to share.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open my saved reports on another computer?
Not automatically. New saved reports stay in the browser where they were created. Download the PDF if you need it elsewhere.
Which plans include branded reports?
Online Premier, Online Professional and the Desktop Professional All-in-One package. See the Pricing page for current details.
Do Desktop Editions need the internet?
Only for purchase, activation and licence changes. After activation, the licensed product's calculations, reports and PDFs work offline on that installation.
