Desktop Editions Lifetime Licence Terms

These shared terms cover every Astrometry Desktop Edition listed in the Desktop Editions catalogue. Each edition is a separate lifetime product: buying one does not unlock another. The price and product-specific terms displayed before checkout apply to that purchase. The licence belongs to the named person whose verified account completes the purchase; it may not be shared, resold, rented or assigned to another person or account.

The named licence holder may use their licensed edition for personal work and reports for their own clients. Software, rulebooks, calculation methods, source files and bundled content may not be copied, extracted, republished, reverse engineered, sublicensed, hosted for others or used to create a competing product.

Each purchased edition allows one active browser installation at a time. Activation requires a verified account and binds a signed licence to that browser profile. A lost or replaced installation can be released immediately and activated in a new browser. The old installation is disabled when it next connects to the internet. You must stop using a released or replaced installation, including while it is offline.

After installation, activation and a complete online load, locally available calculations, reports and PDF exports can work without internet. Internet is needed for purchase, activation, release, replacement and updates. A device that remains offline may not receive a revocation notice until it reconnects; a refunded, revoked or transferred licence does not permit continued offline use.

“Lifetime” means the purchased licence does not expire while Astrometry makes a compatible browser edition available. Compatible updates to that edition are included without another licence fee. Perpetual hosting, support for obsolete browsers or devices, and any particular future feature are not promised.

The browser profile holds its installation key, licence and local working data. Clearing site data, private browsing, resetting or uninstalling the browser, or losing the device may remove offline access and locally stored work. Keep your own exported report backups; local client data may not be recoverable by Astrometry.

A refund may be requested within seven calendar days of purchase only before an installation has been activated, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Approved refunds revoke the licence. Astrometry may suspend or revoke access for payment reversal, fraud, account compromise, prohibited sharing, tampering, unauthorised redistribution or a material breach of the applicable terms.
