KP Astrology Significators Explained in Plain Words

Krishnamurti Paddhati is called KP astrology. It answers questions with clear yes or no logic. The key idea is the sub lord. This guide explains the method in simple steps.

Star lord and sub lord

Every planet sits in a sign, a star and a sub. The sign shows the setting. The star lord shows the source of the result. The sub lord decides whether the result comes or not. In KP the sub lord holds the final say.

The four-step significator rule

KP ranks the planets that promise a house in a fixed order.

Planets in the star of the occupant of the house.
The occupants of the house.
Planets in the star of the lord of the house.
The lord of the house.

Nodes are strong agents. Rahu and Ketu act for the planets whose stars they occupy. Read them with care.

Promise and denial

First check the promise. Take the cuspal sub lord of the house you want. If that sub lord signifies the supporting houses, the matter is promised. If it signifies the blocking houses, the matter is denied. Timing only matters after the promise is clear.

Timing with Vimshottari Dasha

KP times events with the Vimshottari Dasha. The dasha, bhukti and antara lords must all signify the same houses. When three levels agree, the event lands in that window. Our Dasha calculator shows five nested levels.
