How to Read a Career Report: D1 and D10, KP Sub Lords, Bhrigu Nandi Nadi and the Year-by-Year Timeline
5 November 2026
Most career reports choose a single astrological system and stay inside it. The Astrometry Career Report does the opposite: it reads the same birth chart through three independent streams - classical Vedic astrology using the D1 birth chart and the D10 Dashamsa, the KP/Nadi method of cuspal sub lords, and Bhrigu Nandi Nadi with Saturn as the significator of work and karma - and then lays the three readings side by side so you can see where they agree. Every calculation runs locally from the birth details you enter; no AI writes any part of the report. This guide walks through each section in the order you will meet it.
What you enter
The report asks for the same details any serious chart needs: name, date of birth, time of birth and place of birth, plus an as-of date - the day from which the forecast should run. The as-of date matters because the timeline sections describe the years ahead of it. If you do not have a reliable birth time, fix that first with Birth Time Rectification: the report itself notes that birth-time accuracy matters most for the D10 and the KP cusps.
The header block and best-fit fields
The report opens with the essentials in one place: the Lagna with its nakshatra, the D10 lagna and the deity ruling it, the currently running dasha-bhukti-antara, a one-line work-style verdict, the kind of organisation that suits the chart, the position level and the likelihood of foreign work. Next to this sit the D1 Rashi and D10 Dashamsa charts with the 10th house shaded in both. Below them come the three best-fit fields, each with a combined score out of 100, a modern-fit score, a market outlook and four specific roles to target - so the report answers "which field" before it explains why.
Career snapshot
The snapshot condenses the whole report into one table. It names the core career identity from the Amatyakaraka (Jaimini's career karaka) and the Dashamsa lagna deity, lists the best-fit fields and specific roles, and gives the job-versus-business verdict. It also states the position ceiling - read from the KP 10th and 11th cusp sub lords - and the leadership style, taken from the D10 lagna lord together with the Sun's dignity in the Dashamsa. Natural strengths name the three heaviest planets and why; watch-outs list weak D10 career houses and any planet debilitated in the D10. A money-pattern row compares the D10 earnings house (2nd) and gains house (11th), and the snapshot closes with the current dasha phase, the three peak years ahead and the years to tread carefully.
Life purpose and the career it calls for
This section uses Jaimini. The Atmakaraka - the planet at the highest degree - shows what the soul is here to learn, read through its sign and house in both D1 and D10. The Karakamsa (the Atmakaraka's Navamsa sign) and any planets joining it refine that agenda, and the 10th from the Karakamsa names the work through which the purpose is fulfilled. The Amatyakaraka describes the career vehicle itself, and the lagna lord's house shows where personal energy naturally flows. The section ends by tying purpose to the practical verdict: the fields and the job-or-business format that best serve it.
Chart data
The foundation tables show sidereal positions for every planet: degree and sign, nakshatra and pada, KP star lord and sub lord, D1 house, KP house, D1 dignity, D9 sign, D10 sign and house, D10 dignity, and the deity ruling the planet's 3° Dashamsa segment. Rows touching the 10th house are highlighted. A second table lists the twelve KP cusps (Placidus) with sign lord, star lord, sub lord and the houses each sub lord signifies, with the career cusps - 2, 6, 10 and 11 - highlighted. The dasha balance at birth is stated here too, so every later timeline can be checked against it.
Vedic reading - D1 and D10
The Rashi chart sets the direction of karma; the Dashamsa refines it into the actual field, culture and status at work. The D1 panel reads the 10th house - its sign, occupants and aspects - and the 10th lord's house, sign, dignity, conjunctions and Navamsa dispositor, plus the tatwa (element) of the 10th. The D10 panel reads the Dashamsa lagna and its lord, the D10 10th house and its lord, the D1 10th lord's placement inside the D10, and the Sun - the Dashamsa significator. A service-versus-business comparison weighs the artha trikona against the kama trikona. Below the panels, the report lists the D10 rule findings (favourable, mixed and unfavourable classical rules that actually fire in this chart), the planet combinations shaping the field with full or partial strength, the Dashamsa deities of the key planets with whether each ability comes naturally, through study, or through years of practice, and a twelve-house D10 strength table.
KP / Nadi reading - cuspal sub lords and DBA
In the KP method the sub lord of each career cusp decides what the house delivers, and the running Dasha-Bhukti-Antara decides when. The 10th cusp sub lord panel shows the houses it signifies through the four KP levels, its favourable-mixed-unfavourable verdict and the indicated position level, refined by the 11th cusp sub lord. Supporting panels give the sub lords of the 6th (job and service), 7th (business and partners), 11th (gains), 2nd (earnings), 12th (foreign and losses) and 9th (boss and fortune). The report then lists career lines - house-combination fields with a coverage percentage showing how completely the 10th and 11th sub lords form each combination - and a running-period table that reads the current dasha, bhukti and the next few antaras with their signified houses and verdicts. A full planet-signification table closes the section. If you want to go deeper into this method, the Nadi / KP Astrology software and the Vimshottari Dasha tool use the same framework.
Bhrigu Nandi Nadi - Saturn as karma
The BNN stream reads Saturn, the karaka of work. It gives Saturn's sign-based professions with modern equivalents, the planets joined to Saturn by conjunction, trine or direction and what each adds, and the planets in the 2nd, 7th and 12th from Saturn - the houses that carry the reading when Saturn stands alone. A career-stages row reads Saturn's 3rd, 7th and 10th aspects as phases of working life with their ages, and a transit table tracks Saturn and Jupiter through the signs over the forecast window - house from lagna and from Moon, natal planets crossed, trines formed, and a Sade Sati flag where it applies. The standalone BNN software explores this stream further.
Convergence across the three streams
This is the heart of the report. Every career field is scored 0-100 independently by the Vedic, KP/Nadi and BNN streams. A field counts as convergent when at least two streams score it at the threshold or higher; the table shows each stream's bar, how many streams agree, the combined score, a modern-fit adjustment and the 2026-2036 market outlook for that field. The fields where all three streams point the same way are the ones to take most seriously - a single stream's enthusiasm is a lead, not a verdict.
Work life in detail
Six panels cover the practical texture of working life: job versus business with each factor scored and the business-supportive periods named; the kind of organisation that fits, with a second choice; relations with superiors and with subordinates; colleagues and peers from the D10 7th lord; the foreign-work likelihood, mode and periods; and the work environment and income pattern, ending with the position level from the 10th and 11th cusp sub lords.
Consolidated career timeline
The timeline first shows the lifetime arc: every Mahadasha as a bar across the working life, coloured supportive, mixed or testing, with a marker for the current age. The table under it gives each Mahadasha's age range, the D10 house and D1 lordship of its lord, the KP houses it signifies, the level it supports and its career theme. A second table takes the coming years Antardasha by Antardasha, placing the Vedic, KP and BNN verdicts side by side with a consolidated reading, the Saturn and Jupiter transits of the period and a plain-language "what it means".
Year by year
A ribbon of year buttons - each with a strength meter and dots marking rise or promotion, job change, business window, foreign movement and caution - opens a card per year. Each year is read from its own dasha changeovers, the houses the running lords signify in KP, their Dashamsa placement, Saturn and Jupiter's movement through the houses, the age stage and that year's job-market context. Below the cards, an Antardasha detail table gives every Dasha-Bhukti period its dates, D and B verdicts, combined houses, level, D10 house, score and theme, with expandable Pratyantar sub-periods and notes.
Modern outlook - time, place and condition
The closing advisory section grounds the classical reading in the present: skills to build named planet by planet, timing advice and cautions, and a "where work is heading, 2026-2036" panel listing growing themes and fields that are shrinking or transforming. The modern-fit scores earlier in the report come from this same outlook.
Method and limits
The report states its own method: whole-sign houses for the Vedic stream, Placidus cusps with a KP ayanamsa and four-level significators for KP, and Saturn's sign, trines, directions and aspect stages for BNN. Positions come from a built-in ephemeris typically within a few arcminutes for 1900-2050; births close to a sign, nakshatra or sub-lord boundary should be verified, and a "Correct planet positions" option lets you enter values from your own software. The report is explicit that it is an astrological reading meant for guidance alongside aptitude, education and real-world opportunity - not a guarantee of outcomes.
