• Slant: right slant shows warmth. Upright shows control. Left slant shows guarding.
• Pressure: heavy pressure shows strong feeling. Light pressure shows a gentle touch.
• Size: large writing seeks attention. Small writing seeks focus.
• Spacing: wide gaps suggest a need for space. Tight gaps suggest closeness.
• Baseline: a steady line shows stability. A rising line shows hope. A falling line shows fatigue.
• Loops: full upper loops show imagination. Full lower loops show physical drive.
• Margins: a wide left margin shows a break from the past. A crowded right margin shows haste.

How to give a good sample

Write five or six lines on unlined paper. Use a normal pen. Write freely, not neatly. Sign at the end. Then photograph it in flat light.
