Cord Cutting Healing: Releasing Ties That Drain You

Some relationships end and still take your energy. You think of the person without wanting to. You feel tired after contact. In healing terms, a cord is still open.

CORD CUTTING HEALING: Freedom from Invisible Ties by Meenakshi Awasthi explains this in plain language.

How cords form

A cord forms through strong feeling. Love, guilt, fear and duty all create one. Healthy cords flow both ways. Draining cords flow one way only.

Signs of a draining cord

  • You replay old conversations at night.
  • Your mood drops after a message or a call.
  • You feel guilt without a clear reason.
  • You repeat the same pattern with new people.

A gentle home practice

Sit quietly. Breathe slowly for two minutes. Picture the person at a comfortable distance. Notice where the cord sits in your body. Say clearly that you release what is not yours. Picture the cord dissolving in light. Close by breathing into that spot.

Do this once a day for a week. Keep it calm. Anger is not needed and does not help.

Cutting is not rejection

Cord cutting does not end love. It ends the drain. Many people feel warmer towards the person afterwards, with clearer limits.

If the pattern is old and deep, guided work helps. Our healing services page lists sessions, and how it works explains what to expect. Chart timing can be checked with the dasha tool if the pattern seems to repeat in cycles.
